What is a Project?

In simplest terms, a project is nothing more than a collection of unbound scenes (.ubs files). A project might be a collection of models you frequently import into other projects or an entire game.

Whatever their relationship to one another may be, a project is simply a collection of related scenes.

Tip

You can save multiple versions of a scene within your project by creating a copy from the Library menu. This is similar to “Save As” functionality most of us are familiar with.

Project Editor Window

The project editor allows you to set the project’s metadata and add files to your project, among other things.

  1. Click in the text fields to edit the metadata for your project; project name, author, description
  2. These buttons act on the whole project.
    • Open will launch the file designated as your project's start point (see selected controller icon in screenshot)
    • Share will upload your file to our Discord gallery for others to remix or learn from
    • Run starts the project in play mode without the unbound editor's UI.
  3. This section lists all files associated with the project, allowing you to open them in a tab or archive them.
  4. The menu in the upper right houses lesser-used features like allowing you to retrieve archived filed

You can also create new scenes (files) directly from this screen.
